Jonatan Geller-Hartung was born in 1995 in Hannover, Germany. He soon began to be interested in film and its process. In 2013 he began working for fiction and non-fiction production companies in Berlin. In 2014 he started studying „digital media culture“ at the Filmuniversity Babelsberg Konrad Wolf of which he graduated in 2018. In his time there he produced various short films that were screened and awarded on film festivals all around the globe. His written and produced 16mm film „my own kind“ was nominated for the German short film award 2019. In 2020 he started the part-time Masters „Film and Television Production“ at the Filmuniversity Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, which he completed with the graduation film „Hausnummer Null“ (R: Lilith Kugler / ZDF Kleines Fernsehspiel). The feature documentary won several awards at filmfestivals and was nominated for the „61. Grimme Preis“. For his work on the film Jonatan Geller-Hartung won the „No Fear Award“ at the First Steps Awards 2024. He currently works as a producer, writer & director in Berlin.
